Free Guru Module and Stable Release

New Module! —Publish Your List Of Courses

We’ve started adding modules to Guru and the first one is
ready. This module allows you to publish a list of courses. You can order those courses by:

• Popularity
• Date
• Random

Place the module on different parts of the page and you can show different views.

The backend allows you to control all of the module’s elements. Here’s a screen capture:

I hope you like it! We are now creating a few more modules for Guru. I’ll tell you about them as we finish the testing.

This module is included FREE in the Guru package. Just download it and unzip it.

Guru 3 Is Now Stable!

After 3 beta releases, Guru is now stable and ready for use on a production site. If you haven’t checked out the new Guru, you really should. The redesigned admin is fantastic and the front end is responsive. Our migration tool even makes it easy to migrate Guru to Joomla 3.

What’s Next For Guru?

In addition to creating modules, we are also working on some cool integrations with JomSocial. I know that a lot of people have been asking for this and we can’t wait to show it to you.

We are also adding a teachers’ interface that will allow teachers to add courses, monitor students and do a whole lot more.

More Improvements, Faster Development
